I have a 2002 silverado 2500hd with the 8.1 ( 502 cui ) and the allison automatic with tow haul mode with all the tow goodies. you will love yours, last year I hade the trailer and truck loaded and could accellerate going up mount eagle.

the allison acts like an engine brake when going down hill, touched the brakes twice coming down and kept 55 mph

Ford's and Dalmier/Chrysler's tow/haul mode works the same way. I originally was researching exhaust brakes, but have not found a need to install one.

Ford was the first one to integrate a brake controller into the truck's ABS. GM now has the same setup, so I expect Chrysler to follow. Brake controller companies must be scrambling to create other products so they do not become one-hit-wonders...

The brake control on our 2006 F350 Crew Cab Diesel is awesome It hauls nice and I can drive through mountain roads better than some cars.

yes I like the big block, even if the gas mileage is 9mpg loaded or empty. the allison makes a big diff. going down hills. and passing cars going up hills loaded is fun

ALL the sites in the north and the south loops are taken. There are still a few basic sites in the middle with no electric or water Sad

Looks like a long way from my site to power so I can't even bum some watts off a neighbor. LOL
I can bring my generator but typically I don't spend much time "home" anyways.
