vanet thought you said earlyer in this post that you have driven the 06 and have the 05 and liek the 05 better y do you like it better is it gearing _________________ 06 joyner 250 sand viper,red metallic..blue clutch spring 17 gram sliders

You must be thinking of someone else. My understanding is that Joyner has not changed anything on the spider other than cosmetics or gauges since they first started selling them. I did drive several when I was looking, but the 05s, 06s, and 07s all seemed pretty much the same. some 07s I drove had nerf bars that made it tough to get into and out of, on the sides, but other than that they were all pretty much the same. The reason I bought the one I did was condition, Turbo, and price, in that order. Have you found one you like. Van

I went back and read my post. I just didnt make myself clear. I was compareing the 2006 commando to 2005 spyder because we were talking about the gear ratio and I had driven the commando which has a granny 1st gear that is almost usless unless you are trying to climb straight up. Sorry for any confusion. As far as I know the spyders all have the same ratio from 05s up to the brand new ones. I wouldnt mind a little lower 1st but not much, but the big problem is 4th being too tall.
