Hey Glade,

Who did the graphics and design work on that avatar? It looks good. I may have some work for them.

You may be able to answer this one as well.
To the best of my knowledge no one had but together a performance package for the 250cc engines. Do you know of anyone working on such a thing? There seems to be a lot of buggy guys out there hanckering for such a thing.

Teamhog last I checked BIGE was playing
around with a bigbore kit. Also Scootertronics
I think offers a 300cc kit for the cfmoto engine
and told me they were working on one for the
the cn250. Not sure who did Glades avatar work
but I went to school for graphic/advertising art if
you need some help.

I noticed you scrapped the Turbo idea. There are many factors involved with such an upgrade, but I tend to agree off the bat. At only three psi, you would not see much difference. But, thats where the fun comes in. I noticed that these little motors seem to have alot of compression, and there in lies the problem. I have built a slew of turbo motors from drag race to diesel. I am not sure as to how wel these motors are built or what kind of pistons they use, but it might be possible to run a turbo kit successfully with the addition of a custom headgasket. Now, there are other problems that come with this, because the turbo would have to be sized properly for the exhaust volume and velocity, and be very close other wise there would be a serious loss in low end power. This however could be made up somewhat with some higher clutching wich could result in greater clutch wear unfortunetly. Again, not sure, but I would guess these little motors have upwards of 11 to 1. You would need to get down around 7 or 8 to 1 and then you could really start taking anvantage of the boost capabilities. Another thing is airflow. A fully ported and flowed head would almost be essential to get the most out of a turbo'd buggy. Along with a good exhaust of course. Under a decent amount of boost say 20psi, you would be looking at 15 or 18 to 1. This also brings up detonation issues and therefore melted or broken pistons, hence my piston comment earlier. These issues and more are im sure why if there is a kit out there they only make 3psi. I think however that with the right set-up, a turbo kit has potential written all over it. I would not call it a bolt on by any means, but for the savvy tinkerer, it might be as easy as a good EGT gague and a custom headgasket. Whoever mentioned the carbeurator issue hit it right on also. Turbo's on carbs, although feasable, stink. To really take advantage of the many variables that are created by a turbo system, fuel injection is almost a necessity.

Once I get settled at KidnMe motorsports, maybe not this season or even next season. I will be attempting a FI turbo or high compression setup.

We have a 70cc mini-mini-buggy engine that I might put in a 150 frame. I could forsee good things from it.

I am a DSM enthusiest and love my awd turbo eclipse. I hope to put something together and/or bounce ideas off of you guys in the future.
