That's what I would do. The wires go up a cover but i cant see what is what there are 3 other black wires tied together. My brother in law thinks (hopes) it's for a cb ant. I don't see why you would need one. He has the same cart as i do and has the same port/plug. _________________ SUNL 150

your welcome, i read you guys have had some belt problems
now would be a good time to start some mods lighter rollers and a 1500 torque spring thats a good mod to get you going you will see a big difference in your alls buggies.
also those little filters in your cvt will plug up with stuff pretty easy try to keep it clean and a good air flow through it keeps belt heat down.you can look around a little here and see what some of the other buggy riders have done to keep good air flow.also make sure your brother in law gets all the belt pieces clean out of his cvt cover when he replaces belt.the air outlets and inlets on it.

That looks like the ground wire. Usually they are grounded to the engine. _________________ Custom Buggy http://www.buggynews.com/topic13417.html

i will give sunl credit there with the battery charger hook up
saves the hassle of taking the strap off the battery cover to charge your battery.maybe you can talk to the people you got them from they might still have them if they haven't burnt up.
when mine goes bad i'm going to use the bracket they have drill it out bigger and put a 12volt cig like adapter there with the rubber plug in it then rig a battery charger to plug in it.
and of course with little heavier gauge wire to solenoid and ground to cvt cover.the wires they use a light gauge wires
here is the charger i got with mine
