Hi and thanks for reading my post.Is there any way to bench test a cdi, or do I need a known good one to try? BUGGY NO SPARK- KIDS NO PATIENCE THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME

No bench test that I'm aware of. There is probably a way
to troubleshoot the kart and narrow it down. ricduncan on
this site seems pretty sharp on troubleshooting you might
try PMing him. Bige, Glade at Edgepowersports or Tom at
kidinmekarts.com can all supply you with a new CDI they
are all dealers on this site and good guys. The cdi isn't to
expensive for the 150 and would be nice to have as a spare
anyway.

check the coil with a volt meter to see if there is voltage going to the coil, also check the kill button or switch, sometimes they stick. also check the ignition side of the key switch for voltage.
