That was a good climb, especially with a passenger. How does your buggy perform in the Winter with all the snow?

Haven't tried it in the snow yet. I busted the reverse gear box last October, took it apart to see what it needed, and the slow boat from China didn't arrive till May.

You'll have to let us know how it performs in a couple weeks when it starts snowing up there Laughing
Too cold for me in Upstate NY Shocked

Nice little ride. How does that hill compare with the chainbreaker at EMR? It looks steeper.

Where are these trails and what's it take to ride on them? I'm not that far away you know.

I notice the leaves over there have turned more color than the ones here in Connecticut. Any chance you and your brother will be able to go to EMR the weekend of November 10th and 11th?
Chris

Don't think we'll be able to make it TH. All it takes to ride is a williningness to tresspass! As far as I know the town and GE owns most of the land. Occasionally the enviormental police will send somebody out to write tickets. We might spot them a couple of times a year. We do over 1/2 our riding at night and have never seen them after dark. To get an idea of how big the place is go to
[url]googlemaps.com[url] and type in 350 sisson rd 12803 in the search box. Select hybrid maps and zoom out 2-3 clicks. You can actually see some of the trails. Our main riding area is bordered by rt 28 on the west, the river on the east, reynolds rd on the south and the fenimore bridge in the north. If you go to the southern end of sisson rd we also make pretty good use of the area between routes 27, 28, 32 and reservoir rd! Zoom in and follow the trails! Come on up! What usually gets the cops involved is when you get a couple of knuckleheads on 2 stroke bikes w/ loud pipes riding back and forth for hours to close to houses, or quads running back and forth kicking up huge dust clouds close to houses. Nobody wants to be subjected to that and the riders don't understand that they are their own worst enemy. If you just putt putt quietly out into the woods nobody bothers you. You get a thousand feet away from the houses they can't here you. Make all the noise you want. By the way does anybody make a performance muffler that's quiet?? Oh, and to answer your other question, it's steeper than chain breaker, but not as long. Did you make it down to the rock quarry at EMR? There is a shale covered hill that goes up into the trees. It's more like that.

Gotcha im47...

I'd love to come up there sometime. Maybe we'll come up there this Winter sometime. I've got a job up in Niagra, NY next week but I wasn't planning on taking the buggy. I'll have to give it some thought. You'd be right on the way (okay close enough).

That shale quarry at EMR is brutal, but not really anywhere to go once you get to the top. A bunch of us made have made it up that hill at EMR. It's out of the way and gets old after you've gone up it a few times.

Thanks for the info..

Too bad you guys won't be able to make it.

Chris

yes that was a nice climb and to me it didn't sound like your engine was laboring hard at all.how does your buggy do in all them leaves.had my little 150 out the other day after rain and a lot of leaves had come down in the woods i couldn't get any good traction like running on sheets of loose paper, almost left a little paint on a hickory tree.i did manage to scare the crap out of a gray squirrel, i thought he was going to end up in my lap
then he got a head of the buggy and just ran around in circles he was really freaked out.i laugh to there was tears in my eyes i never have my camera with me when stuff like this happens.

The leaves were dry that day, but I know what you mean! I actually hate it when the leaves first fall because the trail disappears, it all looks the same. Once they turn brown and dry up they get blown off the trail and I can see again! I think for my next trick I'm going to try to stop on the hill, then start again.

Trespassing is only bad when you get caught!
Good video, (except for the vibes) hill looked decent, not to many rocks to throw you off,no ruts that I could see,as far as leaves.....ITP Mudlites! Had a little rain/snow this weekend on oak ,elm, and maple leaves in the backyard and they peformed flawlessly! Of course I won't be mowing there any time soon Very Happy

Thanks for sharing!
