Ohios gtr rules

Hello,well 4 months of waiting for a title from my crappy dealer and 7-10 hr calling the state titleing dept ohio is calling the gtr a atv...even though mso says dune buggie under body style.I got my sticker just today.If anyone says ohio is plateing the gtr im here to tell you they will not plate it in ohio,my dealer told me the day i bought it i could get plates-come to find out i couldnt even get a title,so i called and called titleing and paved the way to titleing the gtr. Ill pass the torch, somebody eleses turn to get the gtr plated(i know that will never happen).Allso the tech from taiwan is at carters and the person i spoke with is asking if the 250 can be a 300 with a head-pistion-radiator (300 had a over heating problem)swap,ill post what i hear.And last but not least dont buy a carter product in chardon ohio youll be sorry,i sure was.

Sorry to hear of your unsuccessful efforts to secure a title. Other than that, do you like the off-road performance of your GTR? Would you recommend it to someone who would not be trying to drive it on the road legally?

Hello,i got the title it just took alot of time and calls,geting a title is easy now the state just started titleing last week.Besides all 4 wheel bearings and both front struts going bad at the 30 and 60 day warranty,the motor has been great but id get the 300cc if buying again.Ill get the 300 parts when they start stocking and make my 250 a 300.the tires that come on it arent very good.

The 2008 Carters have a great new look to them. I am disappointed as it seems they will not have the 2speed hi/low range transmission. For climbing steep hills,especially if you have a passenger and gear that seems to be the way to go.
It is good to hear you were able to have the defective wheel bearings and front struts replaced under warranty. Smile

Hello,the struts were bad from day i brought home,they seemed loose i called dealer he said they are supposed to be that loose,i didnt think so and called carter tech dept,they said no they shouldnt be that loose.I called dealer said just tighten them down(all 4 ball joints were trashed)dealer said he talk to tech dept,i never head back from dealer.I ordered and paid out of pocket,called dealer he said well if you bought a pair its not rigHt to get a set under warranty,i said bull ist under warranty it dont matter if i bought a set,called tech back he called dealer only then dealer got a pair.The day i brought it home the front wheels were draging i pulled them and pulled bearings out with finger-greased then thought no more about it.Then at the 30 or 60 day warranty the rear left bearing started to freeze up,called and orderd new set-paid out of pocket,good thing i ordered both as both were bad but one of the replacement bearings only had 1 bearing in it called carters they sent another.I asked if front bearings should of came out with finger they said no.I told them of all my problems, even though warranty was up he said send them in,if bad they would replace,i ordered a set before i sent old ones out so i could still ride-paid for them,and sent old ones in and they did cover them.So not all was covered carters was good my dealed was the problem.
