Drove my buggy aroung for appprox 20-30 minutes. After that the new battery was drained. Any ideas on what could drain the battery during operation? _________________ John H

that happened to me too on my 250, what i didn't do was activate it right, you should really trickle charge it between 1-3 amps for 8-10 hours before riding on it and really keep trickle charging it while sitting, but at a low amp. All your doing is doing your part to keep it charged, good luck
Is there something draining your battery. I had this problem a couple of times and the problem turned out to be one of the pins on the voltage regulator connector was pushed out of the connector. This caused the buggy to run off of the battery voltage and eventually run the battery down. Worth checking over all your connections.
JohnH...The stock batteries just plain suck on ALL these buggies. One thing that I have found is that the provided acid is VERY weak believe it or not...Ever heard of Watered Down Wiskey?(grin)
I went to NAPA and bought their $9.00 bottle of replacement acid and it made a huge difference. I personally would put the money into a better battery.
Erbgottie is right about properly charging. The first thing I do when opening a new buggy is setup the battery first. I put the NAPA acid and then put on a 2amp charger for a minimum of 4-6 hours. Also...DO NOT SET THE BATTERY DIRECTLY ON CONCRETE for any extended periods especially when charging. At the minimum place it on a piece of wood, plastic or cardboard. There are "Magical" things that happen with concrete and wet batteries(grin). _________________ TNegg

You might have a faulty voltage regulator.
It takes the AC from your engines alternator,
and converts it to DC, to charge your battery and run your
buggy.
Otherwise the buggy just runs off of the battery, and eventually the battery dies.
You can check the alternator output at the plug, just set your meter to VAC.
Any qustions, just ask.
the stock batteries are crap. mine died two weeks after i got my buggy. glade said he could send me a new one under warranty, but it would be the same crap chinese made type.
so i went to autozone and purchased one for like $55 or $60 and the buggy runs great and not battery problems.
i would probably invest in a new battery! _________________ //kneehighspy

They sell things called battery tenders and you plug them in when ever not riding. You can keep it on at all times without frying the battery. I think they run for around $30. _________________ Hammerhead 250

Purchased new battery at Autozone and gave it a 2 amp charge until the fully charged light went on. I'll check in a few days if it is still working. _________________ John H
