Try the Uwharrie National Forrest. There are great places to ride on 50,189 acres of Federal land located in Montgomery, Randolph and Davidson County's. I have dirt biked, four wheeler, and offroad trucked there but not taken my buggy. A 250cc buggy should be perfect for the terrain.

Don't know how far its from you and they do charge, but there is a place called Carolina Adventure World that has 2,600 acres to ride on. Check it out in the internet. You may be surprised.

Sorry I missed your posting back to me. Theres been alot going on here at the hizza'. I have spent 2years recovering from some injuries and am now able to get back into my training. So I'm trying to do that 5 or 6 days a week now too. Next time shoot me a PM as well if you have any questions for me.
For info on Uwharrie I would suggest doing a web search for more specific information. The only thing I can tell you is it is way off of US64Hwy out in the sticks!
Where in Davie County do you live?

mudpup:
Thank you for your suggestion. I've not heard of it but I'll check it out on the internet. Wink

Uhwarrie is just below Badin lake on NC109. approx 12 miles south of Denton. I live in Wallburg and would like to find somewhere closer.

I used to 4-wheel on Ft. Bragg in Fayetteville. There were plenty of trails and obstacles (just stay away from the munitions range). This was over 15 years ago, so I don't know what the place looks like now or if they limit access...

When you're done, you can cleanup and go for nice meal or round of golf in Pinehurst.

I live in North East Harnett County and we ride our ATVs at a place in Goldsboro, NC called Busco Beach. My family and friends have been riding there for the last three years and we love it. It is lots of fun and affordable. My friend has a Tomberline Crossfire 150 we have rode on the trails there. However the trails can get a bit tricky. It just depends on the weather and traffic. Nevertheless I think one would have a fun time in a buggy.
P.S. we have recently purchased a Carter Brothers Talon 150 and are hoping to take it there soon.
