I didn't win any drag races but had an absolute blast losing!
Next year........
:
I know what you mean, ...lets see, I lost to the arctic cat, the rhino, the ridge runner, the vw dune buggy, I think I even lost to to Mully ( I missed a shift, but he ran strong)
We could not get out of second before we were on the cones. We need some longer races for next year
It was a blast, even my son loved the drag racing on his little 50cc quad

How did I miss this crash? I Heard that there was another crash, I know Matthew had one, and everybody was OK.. it was a Blade 110 and a Dazon 90, and only a tire was hurt. What happen with the quad and whose 70???

Had a Blast and worth every mile!!
Just got home late last night and got a chance to go thru the 2 GB of pics and vids I took this morning. Here is the group photo.
I will post more but have a TON of stuff waiting for me in the shop but will get it done soon, promise.
It was great seeing everyone and putting faces to the names.

A great group of people who I hope to see again next year.
I also got video of the quad/Blade 70 wreck!
Really glad the kids didn't get hurt. The kart took a beating and the drunk guy on the quad is probably taking a couple days off work!
I don't think it was a 70. I think it was a brand new Twister 80. The guy just picked it up for his kids on Friday for the Rally. _________________ Twister modded 150

I have heard stories from no injury to people being flown out by helicopter to the hospital, but nobody seems to have the whole story, and now I don't even know what the vehicles were. Does anybody know the whole story?
I saw it happen first hand. Me and my son and Jeff (REDYFZ450) were watching the quads drag race. Two guys on quads took off down the drag strip racing in the opposite direction that we were Saturday night. The guy in the left lane was watching the guy in the right lane when a small Twister buggy came down the hill. The guy on the quad wasn't paying any attention to where he was going and collided with the Twister sending him into the air pretty high all the while doing cartwheels in the air, the kids in the cart stayed on the ground and spun around a couple of times. Me and my son ran over to the kids buggy and they were ok, not a scratch on them! The buggy was trashed though, the front a-arm was ripped almost completely off, the side rails on the passenger's side was pushed in about 6 inches right where the little girl's shin was.
The dude's quad flipped several times and tore his left tire and suspension pretty much completely off, his clothes were ripped to shreds where he tumbled in those loose brown rocks that were at the end, his ankle was swollen and black and blue. It looked terrible! His friends tried to get him to go to the hospital, but he insisted he was ok and they loaded him and his quad up and headed back to their campsite. He did ask about the kids in the buggy before he left though. I'm not sure what happened after that, the kids were ok so we went back over to Jeff's camp and watched from there.
I believe that someone did capture the whole thing on video, I'm just not sure who it was that had it.
We stuck around until the kid's dad came down there and I heard him say that he had just bought the cart and put it together a day or two before the Bash. He was pretty hot!

Well let me say this... The buggy may be trashed, BUT THANK GOD FOR BUGGIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If the kid had been on a 50cc Quad, well, I don't even want to think about it. I won't let my kids driv the Quads, and that is one of the reasons we aren't carrying the kids quads in stock now. I am sorry to hear about this, but so glad that nobody seems to have been really hurt badly.
I wish they had bought a Blade, I could have helped them get some parts, if anybody knows who this was, and the Buggy is not repairable, have them call me, I will try to help them out with something. No reason for the family to suffer. Accidents happen.

I'm with you on that. I was going to get my kids quads for Christmas a few years back until I stumbled onto this website and found these buggies. I am so glad that there are manufacturers like you that offer this product that is SOOOOO much safer than a quad. No way will my family ever have a quad as long as there are buggies, Razrs and Rhinos with cages and seatbelts.
If those kids had been on a quad they wouldn't be here with us today. It was unreal how tore up that buggy was and to see those kids still buckled in and not even crying or upset at what had happened. I don't think they even realized how bad it was. I'm telling you, I was almost sick at my stomach watching it happen and not being able to do anything about it. These kids were about that same age as my daughter and if she had been there with her buggy she might have been with them and in the middle of that wreck. It shook me up pretty good.
I'm sorry, but I hadn't met that family so I don't know their names. There were so many people there that I wasn't even able to say "Hi" and introduce myself to everyone. But, I believe the parents were camping beside Charlie and Tom. I believe he had red hair, his wife was with them and he had a son and a younger daughter that were both in the cart when the accident happened.
I don't know if the buggy is going to be able to be repaired or not. It kind of looked like the a-arm might be able to be removed and a new one put in it's place, but I didn't look closely enought to tell how it was tore off. The piece that was beside the passenger's seat was bent into and over the seat and the tubing in front of the seat was bent up pretty bad too. It may be a total loss.
Hope this helps.

That is incredibly scary! From what I heard, the guy on the quad had been drinking and refused to go to the hospital just for that reason. Thank God, I was out riding with my son when that happened. Had I seen that in person, I'm not sure I would have let him back out without a short leash on. _________________ Twister modded 150
