I have a Titan II Roketa 250cc buggy with a CN250 cloned engine.

I recently bought Dr Pulley's 15gram sliders and am having a heck of a time confirming the CORRECT way to put them in the MDF.

I have looked at the diagram, spent hours on the search engine and haven't found any photos on the correct way to install them.

Can anyone help?

when I took the rollers out it was obvious how the sliders went in. I put off doing it because I was not sure how they went. But once they were out i looked at the diagram and the clutch in my hand and it was clear they could only go one way. It has been a while but I believe the larger flat spot on the sliders goes down against the holder. I think once you have it apart it will be easy. Hope that helps. Good luck.

You're right vanet, flat side down. Same spot as where the rollers were.

Kidinme and Vanet.

Thank you both for your help. If I had the patience as Moses did, I would have waited for a reply before installing them. But since I don't and even though you both replied extremely fast, I had some free time and just had to put them in.

I tried putting them in the way you described (flat side against the center hub and the angles toward the outside with the rounded part underneath) and then sprayed them with lithium grease. I put it back together and they seemed to stick at times and the sliders would come out of the sleeve.

I took them out and put the in with the long flat side down, with the angles away from the center hub portion and the rounded part toward the center hub. I tested them and they worked very well with no sticking.

So.....I put the variator back on and lit it up and ran the engine a various rpms for a bit. It seemed the variator worked as it is suppose to and no problems and the sliders stayed in the sleeves.

I took it out for a spin and still no problems...so far?

Do you think there is more than one way to put these in without effecting the performance and the way it should work?
Or did I put them in the way you did but misunderstood your thread?

Thanks Kid.........I have worked on motorcycles for 30 years, but never a CVT. It is new to me, but a blast learning how to do it.
