Some fuel filters are very fine (typically 60 - 80 micron), and require a fuel pump to push gas through them. That may be what you bought. Others are less fine (such as 150 micron) and are designed to work with a gravity flow system.

I'll have to check the micron size of the filter. I would like to have it on there. Thanks.

Man, GY6 engine is very sensitive. Still loads up coming down from speed. Hesitates when pulling out of corners.
I must have flooded it when I lifted it sideways to clean underneath. Air Filter was soaked with gas.

Has anyone drilled holes in pan for drainage? I'm going to do this. It's either that or wade in a pond after cleaning or while riding in wet conditions. Any ideas????

I just purchased the SunL kart from a local dealer. It is for my two boys, ages 12 & 7. The first week it stayed in the shop due to flooding problems.

You can actually make pretty good karts out of those, but you have to do some modifications (of course you get no help for SUNL). First, the mufflers are totally useless and will continue to break and break. We've been taking a Kinroad muffler and adapting them for SUNL. Second...OIL THE AIR FILTER. I've done many many ring jobs on those cause the dust gets in the engine.
Do the A arm bushing mod and OIL the reverse cable.

I've oiled the filter with mx filter oil. I'm currently gathering parts for the UNI filter mod. Does this require a re-jet? I'll have to search for the a-arm bushing mod. I looked at mine and already you can see the plastic tearing apart. As for the Kinroad pipes, is this a stock replacement part and how doe they compare to the aftermarket pipes I've seen?
