I was following my son around Saturday with my other son riding with me. My son stopped on his quad to make sure he hadn't lost me. I was right behind him, pushed the brake pedal, and nothing!!!! It went all the way without any resistance or spring back. With my great NASCAR skills , I was able to veer out of the way without clobbering him or hurting my son (passenger) and I. When I looked at what happened, the keeper (whatever it was) was missing, the pin holding the push rod to the pedal fell off, and the push rod fell out.
Luckily the push rod and pin was sitting on the floor pan. I had to use a key ring to put it all back together and make it back to the truck. I decided to leave that on.
The picture might clarify it. #1- The pin, #2- Keeper hole, #3- The push rod.
The push rod is not attached in the cylinder, and will just come out.
I like the key ring fix.
