cn250 motor shimming

have a dune 150 and just shimmened the clutch spring (with guys sticky helping, thanks made it real easy) with 5/16 shim made a hell of a difference! now i want to shim my cn250 but am wondering if it is done the same way with the same size shim? and has anybody done this what are your stories on it.

I shimmed my Blade 250XT. I made a 1/4" shim, I don't recall that size pipe I made it from though. It is bigger. I just brought my spring with me to the auto store.
