The Suzuki oil I use is dark brown when new and is slightly darker when I change it. My Ozark has the filter, the Breeze does not. Yea I'm surprised too on how good the oil looks from both. Since both are sealed systems the only way contaimates can get in is through the air filter. Pays to get a good two stage air filter.
I ride desert and forest trails, both extremely dusty. I run stock airboxes, they seem to prevent alot of junk from entering the air filter box.
I change the oil in my quads once a year. One has a oil filter and the other doesn't but the oil comes out super clean. Key is to keep the air filters clean and oil'd properly. I check level every time I ride, so far no problems.
My GY6 buggy has an external aftermarket filter and cooler. I'm trying to do the same with it, once a year. I use Suzuki 10w-40 4-stroke oil in the buggy.

Thats what i do!
Once, mabey 2ice a year, and i use mine every other to every weekend!
I think only the hardcore people who beat there engines, need to change the oil more. if your a trail rider, or just a cruise around the field person, it can wait _________________ '04 Manco 906c
