I stand corrected
I didn't realize that had been a common problem spot.
Let us know how it goes.
It is on that brand of engine. Almost every 150cc Kinroad and Blade 150cc engines has the problem of what we call the sinking valves. The valve clearance will close up on most of them after 10-15 hours.
thanks so much for the advice.. i adjusted the valves today and it runs better than it did when it was new.. when i checked it first,, it had no clearence at all on the valves. i did .003 on the intake and .004 on the exaust valve. how often do i need to readjust the valves?? well again thanks for the help.. its hunting season here and ill have a buck on the back rack tommorrow.. anyone know were to buy good snow and mud tires from?? bang bang bambi!!!!! thanks Don

That is very common on those engines. When they are new, you can run them 9-10 hours and for some reason, the valve clearance will close up. The valves will be tight with no clearance. Some of them do it and some don't.
Whether the valve seats further into the head or valve stem stretches, we are not sure. Regardless, it's a good idea to adjust the valves on any of these GY6 based engines after about 10 hours. Then after you adjust the valves the first time, you don't have to do it for quite awhile.
Hay Tim, are you sure that wasn't caused by all the beer had? _________________ Custom Buggy http://www.buggynews.com/topic13417.html
