Thanks for posting all the pics and video, they’re great! This was such an awesome weekend, I can’t wait to do it again! I met so many great people and learned so much over the weekend. I got a little dirty, though. After the first ride, we were all wearing grasshoppers like sweaters. Hats off to all who camped... you have guts! I am so impressed with the camaraderie, everyone brought their tools and parts and each buggy received a full inspection from the gang. I never saw a trailer like Ckau’s! The competitions were friendly and full of surprises. What a great group of buggy-lovers!

Mudtrucker: love the new pic. I think I can speak for all of us and say that we shed a tear when you drove off into the sunset. Can’t wait to see the speedracer run again. Tell Ashlee I said hi and to get her own handle so all the buggychicks can keep in touch and plan future events.

Nam: your “apple” really represented at the night drags! Impressive! How many guys are licking their wounds because they got beat by the likes of her! Tell her I said hi, also and the same goes for her… she should get a handle and k.i.t. Can’t wait to see her again next year. It was great spending time with your fam.

OffRoadKarter: please tell m & d I said hi and give Brandi a pat on the head for me. Sweet girl you got there! By the way, I heard your “O-S” moment right before checkpoint 7! It was pretty funny! Too bad I don’t have a sound bite from that moment. Good job on the rally course, you must have been tearing it up the whole time. No one expected that. Way to go Manco.

Im4seven: Expect to be abducted this winter on a road trip to Maine for some snowmobiling and general silliness. Tell your bro to get a handle and…. Etc etc

Whiplash & Whiplash’s Girl: we’re SO getting together to do this again soon. When you endo-ed on that jump and I heard you laugh I said “that’s my new best friend!!” You’re so cool. We have to nurse Fred back to health so he can come back with a vengeance next year. Thanks for all the good times!

And finally… KidNMe, you did a fantastic job pulling this together in such a short amount of time. I hope everyone appreciates everything you did. It was great spending time with you and your fam, too. Thank you for all your hard work and for my special anniversary gift! It means so much to me and DJFriz, we just look at it and laugh.

Hi to all who were there and not mentioned here, keep in touch.

Now… what are you all doing sitting at your computers when you could be out getting DIRTY!!!

Friz's wife

I'm not sure if that was my camera or Whiplash's Girl's. I'll check when I go home. If it turned out, it will turn up soon. I'm at work right now... um.... working, of course.

I'm at work right now but the only getting dirty I will be doing is cleaning and going over the Talon from front to back. After that flogging I need to make sure it is all in one piece.

See you all on the next one.

P.S. Carter said you missed a great dinner Sunday night.

He just does not under stand the alone time thing yet.

Ray

Well, we were torn. We wanted to go out for some FOOD food at a real restaurant and spend some more time with you and Carter, but then we had a bottle of champagne and 2 cards that we were waiting to open. So, we grabbed some fast food and spent the rest of the night celebrating like we are supposed to (as opposed to riding around like a couple of nuts in a buggy). Fast food? Econo Lodge? Not the most romantic anniversary, but it sure as heck was FUN!!!

Tell him I'm sorry we missed out. Where did you end up?

Flogging is right! You're a crazy driver! I like that.

We ended up at the Red Lion restaurant, about 5 miles from the hotel. Good food and service. You would not believe the amount of food they served. The sides took a plate themselves. I'm glad you got to celebrate some.
As for the driving. I know two pedal positions flat to the floor and full off. Why? How do you drive?

Funny Ray,
My son is at the same stage. 8 yrs old. Almost all Ryan could talk about was Carter and Heather! He had a blast playing in the dirt all weekend!
Of course, he was supposed to be "bonding" with me but I guess he figured we're "Bonded" enough! Smile.....Kids! Rolling Eyes

Yea. I need a copy of the picture of Carter and Ryan in the Talon. Who took that anyway? It was Sunday Morning before we went out for the rides.
And no one has mentioned anything about the Sunday shooting at the "fly ash" pit. That was an interesting demonstration of the right to bear arms if I have ever seen. I had to explain that one to the wife in detail after Carter made it sound like we were invaded and held prisioner at gun point. Youthful amagination at it's best.

Yea thats it. Don't forget the mortar launcher, the Uzi's and the full auto mini 14. Some display of fire power.
