All I can say is if you didn't make the NE rally.... it bites to be you! Outstanding group of people. I felt like I was with family! Good company, good food, good music, good trails, good competition ! Nothing but laughs and thrills all weekend. It's going to take 3 days for my adrenalin level to stabilize! To everyone who attended, thank you for contributing to the sport and for making a memorial event _________________ 3206 yerf. too many mods to list. easier to list what has not been modified- seats and steering wheel. plus one set of kidinme's hand made special collectors edition fuzzy dice. to compare the two events is hard. they both offered different experiences and each were exciting in their own way. paddys was the first and will always be considered the ground breaker. It gave us the chance to meet and put faces to names. paddys gave us insight into what we want and need for the future. Paddys cemented friendships and gave us a sense of unity. paddys was a good learning experience for the sport as a whole . Paddys was designed to be a layed back social event. and I don't know of one person ,who attended that did not enjoy the weekend.
The rally was structured on what was learned from paddys. The weekend was stuctured more for the competitive side of us. It brought us together for friendly competition. The rally had smaller attendance and that was a good thing in the sense that we all had the opportunity to meet and get to know each other on a more personal basis. We actualy had time to sit with each other and get to know them rather than just pass in the woods and throw up a hand. The competitions at the rally were a perfect ice breaker for everyone. not to metion they were just down right fun for everyone, spectators and competitors. The rally also was a excelent proving ground for mods, it really showed what worked and what didn't. It helped alot of people to decide what they need and vice versa. Every one had a cheering section and they were all winners. In my own opinon, the rally was organized better and it made for a much better meet! I would go so far as to say these sort of competitions are a must for future meets. These are just my own personal observations in making a comparison. Also Guy, Tom might chew my back side for this because he wanted to post the outcome of the events himself , but I can't keep it in any longer. So i'll just say , the ONLY buggy to beat the yerf on the rally was a 800cc! roket and the margin of time betwen the two was alot closer [less than60 seconds, I think] that the margin of time to third place. How about that! yerf fans
thats right, the yerf flame burns brightly If you read this Tom, give them the results....inquiring minds want to know _________________ 3206 yerf. too many mods to list. easier to list what has not been modified- seats and steering wheel. plus one set of kidinme's hand made special collectors edition fuzzy dice. I also ment to add that in my 30 some odd years of motorsport experience, I observed this weekend when one competitor broke, there were 5 other competitors standing there with tools in their hands wanting to get him going. what does that say about this bunch of nuts _________________ 3206 yerf. too many mods to list. easier to list what has not been modified- seats and steering wheel. plus one set of kidinme's hand made special collectors edition fuzzy dice. Wish I could have been there. Seeing some great pics and vids. Transfering the vids I find onto the secure server now... I have no idea who's vids are what at this point. (well, some of them, anyhow) so I'll probably just make a big list of the secure links. A reminder that it's best to email me when a video is uploaded so I can move it over to a safe place where there is zero risk of it getting erased.

You're right Charlie!
I completly forgot about the rally times! It may have to do with my placing in it too!
OK, Mudtrucker 42 in his 800 Rocketta had the best time (obviously) at 10min 15 sec , Unfortunatly, Whiplash never completed the course but I think if it would have held together,he could have "wowed" us! :-)but in the 250 and under classes,
1st Place was CKAU , single rider (Who would have guessed! )in his Red "Nerfdog"
("Nerf"-dog because that thing weighs about 30lbs!) with a time of 11min 5 sec.
2nd place goes to FIREMAN1 in his Blue Carter 150, him & son, with a time of 11min 45 sec.
3rd Place goes to TEAM913 (Help me out here Charlie, I don't remember what he was driving), single rider with a time of 12 min 20 sec
4th Place goes to OFFROADKARTER in his Manco with a time of 12 min 30 sec.
A couple of us were helping out at checkpoints, and never "officially" ran the course. I'm sure djfriz would have placed in there somewhere. When we were just playing around Sunday afternoon, he and Stephanie were climbing up my butt all day!
I ran it solo after we were done and ran it in 13 min flat
Have I gotten soft in my old age?
There were no times for the drag races but they were 300' and on fresh laid gravel. Unofficially I think, we were running it between 11-13 seconds. The left lane was the lane of choice we soon found out when someone would lose on the right then stomp butt on the left. I believe it was a little more packed down but all in all, it wasn't really for the times but only for "Good" times! It was alot of fun to race in the dark passing the lights and hearing everyone cheering!
Gotta do this again soon! _________________ -Tom-

Way to go Charlie!! I'm sure the others would have been more competitive if they could just lose that extra 100 pounds they carry compared to the Yerf! _________________ _________________

OK I want a rematch next year. This time without the oil in the clutch during the rally run.
Carter said the rally racing was funner than fun. I think he laughed and yelled more playing around on Sunday even when we blew the tire on the downhill pass around Tom and his son. I will check the buggy out sometime this week. I'm just a little sore and the wife wants some time without the new baby in her arms.
I could not ask for a better wife, to stay home alone with a newborn for 4 days while her husband and son go off 3 states away and play in the woods on a buggy. Maybe we can get her to the next one.
