I want to buy a welder. I've been wanting one for awhile, and I busted a strut today. So now I have to get one. Smile

I plan to fix the strut and weld a triangular bracket to it.

There are lots of different welders out there. I was hoping for some advise on what to get. My budget is tight, but I need one that will work good for patching up The Twister....and other toys.

I have a Lincoln Mig welder 135. I use the argon/carbon dioxide blend and love the welder it was about 480. and then another 125 to buy the big bottle full of gas. When I need more welding gas I go to the local welding supply place where I bought my tank and I exchange it for a full bottle that is only 28.00 It might sound like more than you wanted to spend but it will pay for itself very quickly.

Also post a pic of this broken strut. I have heard so much about these things breaking at the steering arm but never seen it happen yet. I have owned a twister now since 2003 and haven't broke it yet. Well except the engine!! Laughing
