I'd like to get some new shocks for my Dazon 250..... where do I start looking for new shocks ?

I wish I could offer advice but both the buggys I own are long-A-arm front suspension. Most of the others are short arms & a strut. I really don't know if what works for me would work on yours. Have you searched the forum to see if anyone has upgraded the shocks on their 250?

I think this topic could be a great place to get ideas, but the actual discussion probably already exists elsewhere & should be searched out.

Just do a search using the search function and the terms you are reading up above, and you shall find tons of threads on the subjects. It's a an evolving process... I just wanted to give folks who are new to all of this the terms that should be searched out.

Is the GY6 motor basically the same with a 150 or 250. Since they are both Honda knock-off's. I'm thinking about getting the Sahara 250, extended frame, but noticed it needed more bottom end torque, as well as new shocks. The stock shocks are way too stiff.

--Got a link for this? I've modded the exhaust system a wee bit on my '04 KPX X-terro but there's definitely a choke point with that tiny diameter pipe coming off the block.

Thanks for the great ideas; I started by scrapping the silly intake filter and adding a Uni. Next up: exhaust manifold mods. Got a link to anyone who sells something with a larger bore, ready to go? I'll weld something onto it, as I'm using a nonstandard muffler already.

When putting new roller weights on, someone said between 9-11 grams! What is the difference if its 9 grams or 12 grams?

the lighter the weight the more rpm's needed to push out the rollers with centrifugal force resulting in the motor running in a higher rpm and lower gear band. but dont go to lite or you will never get out of the low gear band.

I have purchased a talon gx1502r, used, in great condition.( Very Happy ) There is a small hose melted in half from contact with the muff. The idle slowly rises up higher and higher after recent use. The buggy runs great any way .Could the melted hose be the idle problem? I need a picture of the stock gy6 carb. from the left side. Thanks for any suggestions or help (in advance)!
