OK...now that I have had this thing out and have driven it more than 50 feet, it's a blast.

I had worried about the turning radius. When on surfaces such as gravel, all you have to do is goose the throttle and turn and you can spin. I was able to drift around corners.

It has plenty of power. I still have not buried the throttle as it is still in the break-in period. I see however, that this will not be good for climbing high dunes. If you want to climb them, buy a $5000 sand rail.

It was a lot of fun. I think I can now see the light at the end of the tunnel regarding the stupid little fixes this thing needs out of the crate.

I am now happy with my purchase. I would suggest one of these.

Thanks to Dave at Awesome Buggy...I think I fixed the short problem I was having.

It seems as though there is a ground wire behind the voltage regulator that is grounded onto a painted surface. I moved that wire to the engine and it seems as though it is fixed.

I won't get my hopes up yet because whenever I do, it seems something else happens. I am looking forward to going out again, however. I don't have a trailer again for two weeks so will have to wait until then.

Stu...if you read this...do you have the tach/temp/speedo/hours gauge for a Titan, yet?

Well, well, well. I called it.

Finally got my trialer, took my wife and buggy up to the hills, and broke the axle within TWO minutes of pulling it off the trailer!!

So...$40 to get that welded by a friend.

Then the short bug crept in again. I am sick of it so I dropped it off at a local auto electric store. Seems the solder job from the battery to the ground on the engine was bad. When touched, it seemed solid...but under the rubber it was barely touching. $35 fix.

GRRRRRR.

I will try again next Monday.

Hey Reinhold...I too have a titanII...I love the thing! But like you said there are some things that need fixed. Steering is one major set back. In open spaces its great, feels like power steering. But in the woods...well good thing it has reverse. Want to solve that problem? Derrick from AB told me to take the tie rod ends out and drill a hole an inch back from where they are supposed to go. WOW I CAN TURN ON A DIME NOW!!! If I didnt explane good enough message me and I can send you pics. As for the short you are talking about...hmm, sometimes mine spits and sputters too...going over bumps at high speed. Did you get yours fixed? Oh, one more thing I added 15g Dr. Pully roller weights.....ANOTHER WOW! made a huge difference all the way thru the power band. Very easy to change too. Got them from AB. My next purchace will be a Uni air filter and a bigger main jet...think Derrick said to use a 142. Take care and let me know what improvements/trouble shooting you do....
thanks, Mac

Great to have these reviews, thank you.

Also, I love the scenery in that video. That's really awesome!

Yes...the short was finally fixed. The metal contact TO the ground was broken. But it was still in its plastic covering and made enough contact occasionally to work.

I will PM you but PLEASE send me pictures.

I have had no time for it the last couple of months. Yesterday, I started it for the first time in a month or so. Very hard to start. Then, drove it down the street twice and one of the radiator hoses broke. WOW.

Well Reinhold...sorry I didnt send pics earlier...didnt know you needed them. Anyway I took three from different positions just now. One tip, make sure the holes you drill are tappered just like the origional holes because the tierod end studs are tappered. The front hole is the stock position. When you take one off you will see what im talking about. Here are the pics, hope it helps.

I just bought a Titan, the certificate of origin said it is a 2005 model. I guess they're flying off the shelf. I had to fix the upper driveshaft after about an hour of use then the other spline broke on the same shaft, so I ordered a new one from AB. I also had a problem with vapor lock, but we zip tied the fuel line up higher and it works fine. On the radius fix, I didn't see a drill bit size. I was going to do it, but all we had available was a 3/8" bit that would give a little slack. I hate to buy multiple metric bits if someone has the information. Thanks.
