As far as I know it is. The Baja Dune 150 and other Baja products are sold by BajaMotorSports here in Tempe, AZ and the same guy that created the Yerf Dog, Mr. Godfrey, designed the Dune 150.

That woudl explain why they are set up in such a similar way... though many improvements were made.

It's definately a GY6. There are a couple of members here that have the Dune 150. Check out this review:
