Finally getting back to you all on Talon problem. It looks like Painkiller gets the "thats it" award for his suggestion on the clogged muffler. I did not find anything wrong after further checking so off to the dealer the buggy went. They also did not find anything amiss, so they contacted Carter who said the parts inside the muffler were probably loose and blocking the outlet. They removed the muffler and the power loss disappered right away. Carter is sending a new muffler. Thanks all for your time and thoughts on this issue.

Hey guys, also my first post, but have been checking this site out for a while. I also have a Talon (a GX150II) and just started having the same problem G-Man described. So I started looking through the forums yesterday and finally found the answer - or at least I hope it is.
I was leaning towards the muffler as well because when it would lose power like that, I also noticed that there was hardly any air coming out the exhast and even got worse when I reved it up (even less air).
But I could usualy let it idle or even put it in reverse and gun it (don't know why that worked but it did) and it would clear and have full power for a little while longer.
Anyway, now I have a better idea and will test it out and replace if necessary.
My thanks to everyone who contributes to this forum.

Unless the broken pieces are being moved when you gun it in reverse. That is the reason I think Carter is going to the Aluminum Mufflers like I have, to try to keep the internals from breaking and covering the outlet pipe. Just my 2 cents.

I'm new to this website. I bought and sunl150 4 months ago, ran goo until 2 weeks ago, having trouble starting, and when it does start I have problems at WOT with no power. It seems to run good at low speeds, but only if I can ever get it started.
Any suggestions
