Are you sure you are not running too lean in the higher RPMs? It really sounds like the engine is starving for fuel at higher revolutions and causing your heat problems.

No Pete I'm not sure. Sounds like you guys believe that fuel is the most likely culprit. I'll get some plugs and see what I find out. I tell you when it comes to carburetors I'd rather not touch them. The chances of me getting them dialed in are slim to none and slim just walked out the door.

I will definitely keep ya all posted on the results. The big test will be the race. Our next race is at Firebird Raceway, a short track race. I’m told they are setting it up like a CORR track. Straight a-ways with 30 degrees of banking and turns with 30 & 40 degrees of banking. We will be running on the same course as the Trophy Trucks and Class 1 buggies. So my upgrades will be put to the test.

Glade stated he was going to send some extra jets so if I have the 145 I will try that one first.

Until then………..I have a lot of work to do. I'll post pics when completed and of the race.

Thanks again everyone for all your advice and impute. I’d been lost without it!

AZ some people use part of the original airbox and attach their filter pretty close to the same location as the stock filter. I originally use that set up and was using a mid to hi 130's jet. This current set up facilitated the larger 145. These are abs elbows and 22 degree bends, found at your local hardware/lowes/home depot stores.

I don't think the 43 will fit. That is what comes on the new Sand vipers. The 39 should.

Geek, I believe the concept with the rejetting and air fliter allows engine to breath/combust better. The result is reaching your max rpms quicker in return you reach max torque quicker and max hp quicker. So without rejetting/air your hindering how fast this happens. Pete if your out there chime in.

Thanks Greg I'll go that route.

For all of you looking for shocks that fit the 250 Sand Viper I found that the stock Polaris RZR shocks are pretty much a perfect match. They are also adjustable front and rear which is nice. The only mod I had to make was on the front. They didn't fit in the allot eye hole. Lots of travel and nice and soft. I picked up a set for $100 bucks brand new take offs. Also seen several on ebay. I found mine on craigslist.org

What's the measurement i2i? I was looking at some on ebay but couldn't get a measurement. My stockers a 17.5 i2i, and my rear is 20.5.
