The owner's manual list my cart at 737lbs, your cart doesn't look to be a heavy as mine, Glade can probably get you the wgt. I'm going to try that purple ice stuff. 4 hills I wouldn't be concerned, I'm up and down hills. Everything that Bige mentioned I have on my cart. Front shocks you can get off of ebay, for a limted budget. Artic cat snowmobile shocks LR, LZ are 18", Predator 500 are 17.75" and you can easily change the springs (no tools) $100-$150. The back is tough I probably bite the bullet and spend the 200 per shock for the back. The picture shows the predators, the arctic cats have a longer stroke. Gotta run I'll check back later.
If you didn't rejet after the K&N and/or new exhaust pipe you are running lean which explains the over heating. Better coolant is a must here in AZ. _________________ John

Well I just ordered the following parts from Glade,
Dr. Pulley Variator
39 tooth Spoket
15 gram sliders
Racing CDI
Racing Coil
30 mm Carb
Torque Spring
The hit clutch I wanted is on back order. Soon as Glade gets one I'll be installing that also. Mean while I hope these mods will help our acceleration and take off and are enough for a poduim finish!
I want to thank you all for the advice and info. And Glade thank you for all your help!
I'll post our results after our race on Oct. 31st weekend.
If those mods can't wake up your buggy, it's dead. Sounds like you're going to be a busy person over the next 2 weeks. We will be on the lookout for progress reports. Good luck!

AZ, Im not well versed in motor mechanics at all. Just about everything I learned came off of this forum, (these guys are great). That being said my cart cart didn't seem to wake up until I tried a 142, then I went up to a 145, and noticed a little bump in top end. So I wanted to try a 147.5 but the shop was out of 147.5's and had a 150 so I tried it and my cart just bogged down. I think where I ride is in the 1700ft level. My truck is in the body shop, so I won't know for sure until next week. However It seems to me that the members with HP carbs run bigger jets, maybe someone will chime in.

let me know on your progress and i am wondering how that 39 tooth sprocket will fit on there cause glade told me that he didn't think a 39 would fit ? _________________ 06 joyner 250 sand viper, red metallic..blue clutch spring 17 gram sliders
...Today I have 15g sliders, opposed to tuesday when I ran 18g sliders. 15g are great for climbing and acceleration, but it became quite evident my engine temp was way up. I never noticed because I usually run 15g but during my usually experimentaion I forgot to put my 15's back in and rode with the 18's, virtually no egine temp issues...
Are you sure you are not running too lean in the higher RPMs? It really sounds like the engine is starving for fuel at higher revolutions and causing your heat problems. _________________ 08 Joyner SandViper 250

No Pete I'm not sure. Sounds like you guys believe that fuel is the most likely culprit. I'll get some plugs and see what I find out. I tell you when it comes to carburetors I'd rather not touch them. The chances of me getting them dialed in are slim to none and slim just walked out the door.
