great news, it was the intake valve. it was way to tight at least two complete turns. it now seems faster and throttle response is better two. now for the reverse cable any clues on where to get one?
thanks for all the help and advice.

hey glad your up and running again those out of adjustment valves can cause problems and you are wright they always run better after adjusted Smile

on the reverse cable give BIGE pm he has probably got a new cable laying around,he is Mcdonough Powersports.

when looking for parts any of the dealers here are good to deal with and you don't have to worry they will treat you wright.

i took the 2 top bolts holding the shocks to the frame then the 2 holding the swing arm on then flipped the motor up to where i could get to the valve cover. i the took the cover off and turned the motor over to top dead center. then i noticed the intake valve never loosened up and the exhaust did. to adjust the valve there is a screw with a set nut on it, loosen the set nut then back the screw off and check for a .08 gap with a filler gauge. then tighten the set nut and put thing back together. runs like brand new now.
