I have the 660 Raptor in my Joyner 250. Had the same problem.
I used Martin gears on the jackshaft. The 530 is no problem. For the 520 I had the gear blanch ground to fit the 520 chain. Unfortunately, industrial gears and motorcycle gears don't cross reference to each other so you can't buy a gear off the shelf that will work and I couldn't run 530 chain between the engine and the jackshaft.
We ran 90 miles last weekend and I did strip the teeth off the ground 520 gear but I think it was because the chain got loose. I'm having 2 more made this week and will try them out. If they break I'm going to take a stock gear from the Raptor and have a hub put on it to go on the jackshaft.
this question is for the few that have a done a engine swap. i searched but came up with nothing
where did you guys find the sprockets for the jackshaft. i need a 520 from the motor and a 530 going to the stock 150 axle
Have had to had custom sprockets made for machinery we work on, not sure if different for buggies, but...
you need to find out the pitch---that is the distance from ne tooth to the next (or center of link to center of link), the size( 530 in your case?), shaft size, # of teeth you want and spline pattern and any shop could machine them. It will probably cost $100-$200 to do. I don't know if I'm missing anything regarding buggies specifically, tho, because I've never done it for a buggy. We usually spend $150 in california for any small machined part on machinery... _________________ Carter Brothers gtr 300

Here's some new info. Motorcycle chains are measured using the "rule of 8's" The first number is the pitch. 5 = 5/8 or ansi 5x. The second number is the width 30 = 3.0/8, 20 = 2.0/8.
Martin Sprockets makes hardened sprockets that will fit the jackshaft. Make sure you get the hardened ones.

I was able to get a 530 sprocket for the Raptor engine. You should be able to get one for your engine.
