Team Farm has extended a welcome to his part of the world. He is still busy making hay (literally), but between the two of us can answer any questions you may have.

What: Gathering of NW buggiers

When: October 10th - October 13th

Where: Private properties in Pasco, WA

This is mostly flat high desert with some occasional hills that Team Farm claims actually exist. Many of the rides will be on irrigation ditch roads allowing 30mph comfortable cruising. This is the second gathering in Pasco - Check out the Easter gathering:

I'm not sure if I'll be able to make it, but I would love to be there!

My buggies are stored at a friend's place in central Oregon where we can just drop by, fire them up and be on the trail without having to haul them anywhere.

This is good because we can just go riding whenever we want, but it's bad because it makes going riding anywhere rather difficult.

We've only got a trailer that can hold the Reaction150. In the past, we've had to rent a car trailer from UHaul (crazy $$$) to move the Roketa anywhere.

i'll probably have to miss this one, but if I have a month or two advance notice on the next one, I can probably make arrangements to bring a few more people & buggies with me!

-Mike

We try to plan these things on three day weekends (at least for some). The next holiday is Veteran's Day (Nov 8-11) - It will be too hard to schedule a trip across the mountains that time of year, so it would would have to happen west of the range. If someone wants to plan a Veteran's ride, I could do up to 300 miles north (Canadians also have this day off) or south of Seattle. Start a new thread if you have interest...

You already have better tires to give you flotation. At minimum, you need the 39t sprocket on your axle and a longer chain (I can help you with that) to gear your engine down. Once you see how it does the first time on sand, you'll be ready for the intake and CVT modifications. Many of the rides are on irrigation roads, so even a stock buggy can run those.

If you get the longer chain and sprocket, that will suffice for this ride. You should be able to order the sprocket within the next two weeks and install it. I will get you some extra links to extend your chain. Once you get back, you can look into upgrading the other parts and rejetting your carburetor.

You should bring your dad along. After the weekend is over he might even be talking buggy...

Sad Sad Sad

I can't make it, but please keep us informed on when the next one will be.

I'll make arrangements to bring at least myself (and possibly a couple more!)

Have fun you guys!
