the cdi limits rpm and timing. you can change it to get more rpm.. but if you are not hitting the limit now then I would leave that alone.

as far as the cvt mods go, you can do 17 gram sliders, a main spring. that will help low end and still retain some top speed also.

its possible, you would have to go with a 24-26 gram slider, and a main spring. take off in high gear would be sluggish

I think you should stay with the stock rollers/sliders, update the intake and rejet your carburetor. The extra breath the engine will get, should push it faster. At a certain point, it doesn't matter what size weights you are using because the variator is at it's maximum and the only thing holding it back is more engine output.

I swapped out my CDI and couldn't tell much difference. I also put on a high output coil, K & N filter, 32 mm pumper carb, 15 gr. sliders, and blue torgue spring. I have not changed the clutch springs. We crawl around on rocks some and the lower engagement speed seems to work well. I also put 23 x 8" tires on the front to roll over things easier. Next time I think I will go to 24 x 7" tires. The rear tires are 22 x 11" Interco Swamp Lites. You could get a higher speed with taller tires, but I love hillclimbing and didn't want to loose any low end. I am constantly amazed at this buggies climbing ability. It doesn't stop climbing until the tires start spinning.

thats one way to do it, the stock rollers are kinda heavy, open up the air and exhaust and that will make a big diff also
