My machine didn't sputter with the yellow one I just didn't have any change at all with it. If the yellow one worked for you guys on the cf moto, I don't know why mrp would release a cf moto specific black one... _________________ Darren,

So what is the difference in performance between the black and yellow CDIs? _________________ 08 Joyner SandViper 250

And of course one works on cf moto and the other does not, it works on cn 250. _________________ Darren,

According to Glade in his post, the yellow adjustable CDI does work with the CFMoto. Am I reading this wrong? _________________ 08 Joyner SandViper 250

I tested it and it had zero change hammerheadcanada tested it it had zero change. I called up Joel Martin the owner of mrp to tell him our findings, he agreed with me he already new it didn't work.... The machine ran but no performance gain.... As I said before if the adjustable one made for cn 250 worked for cf moto why would they come out with a cf moto specific one a month later.. It makes financial sence that if the cn 250 one worked on cf moto you could make more of the same cdi to lower the cost of making them. Why would you make a cf moto specific one if the cn 250 one worked?! If the wholesaler mrp says it does not work on cf moto I would bet it probably does not work! _________________ Darren,

I have the yellow adjustable one, and I didn't put together my new sputtering problem with the cdi. However my lower rpms are substained, this is especially noticable when returning to idle. Now since reading this I'm going to place the stock one in and see if the sputtering stops. As a matter of fact if I can get the sputtering to stop with the HP CDI I'd rather keep it I think it makes thing happens just some of it might be bad.
That bring me here, If the mfg knew that the CDI didn't work on the cfmoto they should have informed the dealers. I think the mfgs are putting dealers in a bad position. They are not testing the products throughly, if you test something thoroughly you can give numbers/stats, that how you measure results. Not only that, the prices are inflated. You know, I like putting mods on my buggy, it's like the hod rod I didn't have growing up. But I'm getting fed up with these so call HP parts! There should not be a question if the CDI works. The answer should be absolutely, the result will very , but you can expect a minimun of ?% gain.
Again I want to reiterate that the Consumers and Dealers are the ones left holding the bag. Glade has always done a great job making things right with me. I only hope that they are treating him right since he has to be the one to clean up their mess. It's real easy to let the dealer take the hit, but we know human nature is to take the path of least resistance.
Thanks for letting me rant/vent.

I agree the prices are inflated.. The prices are too high wholesale for dealers to make a living on the parts. When I saw the whole sale price on the big bore kit for the cn 250 I emailed Joel at mrp laughing and told him it must be a pricing error... He never emailed me back so I guess it wasn't. Some parts wholesale cost more then I believe they should cost retail! It makes it very difficult on dealers when some smaller items have such a small profit margin I have seen as low as 2 dollars over cost. Be assured dealers stay afloat by offering repairs not by selling performance parts. _________________ Darren,
