Hi, I just purchased a Roketa GK-06 Titan from gokartsusa and assembled it yesterday. I've run into some problems however. The first time i started it and ran it it stalled. It's been on and off ever since. I've been informed from the dealer that theres a 15 hour break and period and to make sure I charged the battery 8 hours before use (neither of which they mentioned in the instructions..). I trickle charged the battery and its holding a good charge. I went to start it this morning and it ran fine for about 30 minutes. I could tell it was throttled way down but ran relatively smooth. I parked it and did some work getting the lights on and went to drive it again and it was sputtering. I have a hard time getting up a slight incline even. If i baby it enough it can sort of get going (10 mph??) and maybe half throttle. It has gas, oil, and coolant. (I havn't really seen the fan running yet, is that normal? I havnt really ran it for more than 20 minutes at a time yet though)... So far I've tested the gas filter?? (gray box on fuel line) and the flow was the same when i let the fuel out before it and after it. I tested the battery charge as I mentioned. I opened up the air filter and looked to see if the choke was stuck.. because thats what it feels like. that the chokes still on. The plate in the far back seemed to respond well to the throttle and the black bobber on the needle seemed to respond as well. I didn't see a choke.
There was a wire that connected to the side of the carbureator that was barely hanging on and I have since put a better connector on it to help it with connection (my guess is keeps track of the temperature??). It's off in the first photo but i connected it afterward (the upper left one) These pictures illustrate an area of concern. Theres 2 nipples (lack of a better term) that have nothing connected to them on the carborator. There's a dump line with a warning sticker, and another line that has a clamp on one end, goes about 2 inches then has a slanted cut at the end that's just hanging. I that line and the nipples for vacuum and there isn't one. I just picked up a new spark plug to replace the stock one, to make sure that isn't the problem.
I just bought this thing and i'm sure I would enjoy it much more if it'd work properly : ) There seems to be a lot of knowledgeable members on here, so I'm hoping you can shed some light on this issue. Any information would be much appreciated. Thank you
