It was a result of the automatic choke not able to shut completely off in 0 degree weather. They converted it to a manual bolt adjustment and resolved the problem. Glad everything worked out for ya'... Those Wal-Mart batteries are a decent substitute. As far as riding in the Winter... We ride ours in the Winter all the time.... Here's what we found: * Full-face Helmets work. The windscreen is nice until they get dirty and scratched. A full-face helmet with goggles works better for us. * Mud-Lites - They work, however sometimes they work too good. In some snow (the wet stuff) we found that the Mud-Lites dig down too much. * Take pictures and video... 'cause we like pictures and video... I feel like a buggy ride...
