mine was a cn250 and it was listed in the paperwork as 8.5 to 1. I am not sure exactly what it was that was just how it was listed.

I checked my manual and the 2008 hammerhead with the cf moto engine is 10 to 1 compression.

8.5 would be awesome compression for forced induction but 10 to 1 is a bit high to run pump gas. My mustang is 9.5 to 1 and i run a vortech supercharger and even with an intercooler 10 pounds is pretty much limit on 91 octane.

Some useless information for you here.. 14 pounds essentially doubles atmospheric pressure therefore doubling power. Its usually around 7 pounds of boost gives you 50 percent . With a supercharger you need slightly more boost to achieve the same results because the supercharger draws power to turn it because its belt driven and not run on exhaust gas.the higher the boost you run and the higher your compression ratio the higher the octane fuel required to prevent detination.

One more thing about forced induction on a carb engine. Sometimes you need aftermarket floats in your carb because the stock brass ones crush under boost. I know our floats are plastic but they are probably not much different.
