new intake filter and exhaust, but runs sluggess at high rpm

i have a blade 250 xtx and i added a home made intake. the stock one was melting and kept falling off. i used a 1 and a half inch pvc pipe elbow and the intake and filter off my 400ex. the exhaust is a fmf slipon. what size jet should i be running? i drilled my stock jet so im not sure what size it is now.

when you say intake do you mean the stock air box?, put a uni or k&n straight on the carb and get some jets 125-135. that should get you going good
