I'm totally lost...I have an intermittent missfire and I cannot find a solution. So far I've replaced the cdi unit the ignition coil, HT lead and new spark plug.
Here's what happens...If you start the buggy it runs beautifully, turn the ignition off and then restart and it ticks over, but as soon as you apply any throttle it missfires like nobodies business. With lots of banging and spluttering from the exhaust. Lift off the throttle and she goes back to a normal tickover. If you try to pull away the engine just bangs and dies. Turn the ignition off leave it for 30 seconds and start again and she purrs like a kitten....any clues or has it happened to anyone else?
welcome to buggynews, has any one adjusted the valves? also check the wires going into the puld on the cdi and coil.
they can work loose and look like they are connected good. _________________ Blade buggies,Carter buggy's, ams (manco) , joyner, parts for almost anything

thanks for that I'll give the connectors another look . I have adjusted the valve clearance as I had thought that might be the problem, but it did not make any difference. Someone has mentioned the electrical choke, I'm dubious but I have tried disconnecting it in the past but that made no difference.
Check your carb intake(between carb and head) it's rubber and tends to crack it did on mine. _________________ 06 Dazon 250cc DS WhiteBrothers pipe.
