Waaaay over on the West side. I-20 West, the last exit (#5) inside GA.

It is clean. Not a sign of dirt, mud, or even a mud stain, and you know how that GA clay stains if you don't clean it up quickly.

They are both the correct length at 18" eye to eye.

The front shocks are 18", but the rear are somewhere between 12"-14". For the rear swing arm, look for a pair of used Yamaha Blaster front shocks or a new pair of BuggyDepot.com rear shocks.

I meant that the YFZ and Raptor shocks are both 18" long. I like the idea of the blaster shocks for the rear, and they are usually inexpensive. I may try those on the rear first and see how I like them. The front however is my first order of business. I watched the stock front shocks (springs, that's not a shock) work themselves to death yesterday. Both front and rear severely need compression and rebound dampening abilities. At minimum a shock that is oil filled.

They're rivited with a rubber gasket under them to stop noisy vibration.

Garider you'll be pleased with Blaster shocks on the rear. The springs are the right strength (160 #/in.) and the shock damping (valving) is good. I have the AC ZR700/ZR800 shocks on the front. The AC springs are only about 80 pounds per inch. I ran with 120 springs and still feel they are a little too soft. RMB bought 150 springs and seems happy with them. The AC shocks bolt right in with the only work needed is to drill the .375" bushings out to 10mm (.39").

Where do you buy higher weight springs for the Cat shocks? Arctic Cat or aftermartet? We usually buy from Racetech, etc for our bikes, but I have never even seen a snowmobile in person Confused and know nothing about acquiring parts.

What kind of $ are we talking to replace the springs on the AC shocks?

I just bought a set of Blaster shocks. I Hope the year model doesn't matter?

Guy made shackles for his blaster shocks. Mine measured 14 1/2" versus 14" stock so I choose not to make shackles, and it has not presented any problems. Rmb did not use shackles either. So you do have options.

Hey Guy, I remeber you saying you would've put the shackles on the outside ,or something like that. Tell him if this rings a bell.

Search Dune 150/ Baja Reaction, and RMB has a link to the site or maybe he'll chime in and re-post the info.

Greg
