according to the second pic , there is major scoring on the intake side of your sleeve. This is the third one I have observed recently. We did two top end rebuilds on two separate motors and all, including yours, had the same identical scoring in the same spot, right under the intake port. It's a puzzle. the rest of the cylinders are in good shape except for that one area under the intake. the discoloration and score marks indicate a heat problem in that spot. We speculate it could be inadequate flame travel, , possibly a lean condition at high rpms. or those aftermarket aluminum intakes are not dissipating heat correctly. Don't mean to highjack your thread but if you could give some more info on what has been done to your motor and your riding style, it could help in the future. _________________ 3206 yerf. too many mods to list. easier to list what has not been modified- seats and steering wheel. plus one set of kidinme's hand made special collectors edition fuzzy dice. well i give you a story i bought this buggy back in 06 off a guy for 560 it had ben hit in the left rear and pumled out into the desert so it had not been run for i would say about a year but who knows so i being 12 at the time tore the whole thing down drive train and all and sent the frame to my uncle he straightened it and sent it back so i put it back together and it ran so wohoo lol ok so enough of that my dad and i think that while it sat it got rust in the engine so when i started it for the first time in at least a year the rings scraped the rust causing this if you look at the last pic the rings are totally worn on the side of the scratches in the sleeve i have only driven this kart 10 hours since i got it so i really dont think i did it but i do know that it had a bad head gasket when i got it and did not know that until i took it on a good ride sorry for the long story but i figured id tell it all _________________ 06 joyner 250 sand viper, red metallic..blue clutch spring 17 gram sliders
