Weve got a group of guys that go rideing together and there is a 350 oddy and a 400 pilot in the group. They are nice but they are quite small. I am 6' 5" and weigh 265 lbs and I have a real tough time getting into an oddy at all not to mention driving one. The pilot is better but it is still just one person and also very tight. I have a 650 turbo joyner, a 1000cc superkart FI and a 1000cc sunl carb. After doing several mods to each one they will all run right with the pilot and they will blow away the oddy. (mostly because of suspention). The 1000cc FI will out run the 400 pilot in any race that is any distance. The pilot takes off faster but the 1000catches it within 200 yrds or so. The thing that is head and sholders better on the three china karts is suspention. with a good set of shocks you can run through the whoops as fast as you want. The oddy has to slow way down and the pilot has to slow down some as well. For that matter alot of high dollar buggys cant keep up in the whoops if they are running the vw front beam. Last dune trip I was blasting down a wash next to a Yamaha SHO powered 4 seater and although he had alot more power and speed,every time we got to some heavy whoops he had to slow down and I would catch him. So my advice, find a used Joyner 650 or bigger and use the money you save to mod it to the point where it will run wherever you want it too. Good luck Van
