Uni filter from a Cam Am 4 atv
Moved Oil cooler
Chain guard to keep things from getting flung on the filter.
Dura Liner on the floorboard.
Repairs I have made:
Reweld the engine mounts.
Replace caliper bolts (they were too long, were touching the rotor.)
Cut off the headlight mounts due too wreck.
Recommend things and questions I have:
Why do people rejet? Why don't they just turn up the fuel on the carb itself.
when you have better air flow in then you have to match the fuel flow to keep it from running to lean.

Looks like you have most of it down. I agree with BIGE on the CVT mods. The air filter and re jet will help the motor run stronger, but the CVT mods are what will really get your buggy moving, and they are pretty affordable too.
I added the 9 gram rollers and 1500 spring, and it made a world of differnce in performance. Make sure to read up on these so you can choose the right set up for your riding.
Keep up the good work, and make sure to keep us posted. _________________ Baja Dune 150

Ok. I will try and take some pics of the farm I own and ride on. I have made a little dirt track to ride on. I am used to driving a manual truck and downshifting leaving a turn to get back in the power band so driving a cvt buggy it a bit rough on my mental driving.
What is the stock engage on the 150 gy6 clone?
Anyone have or know of any dyno test graph's done to know the power band of a gy6?
most make peak power at around 7500-8000, changeing the cvt set will put the shift points closer to the power band. _________________ Blade buggies,Carter buggy's, ams (manco) , joyner, parts for almost anything

yes I do, changing to a lighter roller or slider and installing a main spring and clutch springs will get the rpm up. my wifes 150 hits 7800 _________________ Blade buggies,Carter buggy's, ams (manco) , joyner, parts for almost anything

Well I wanted to edit my orginal post and include these pics and start a table of contents but it won't let me so I guess these pics will be hidden down here.
Ok here is the first pic. This shows the filter guard I am trying out. To keep the chain from flipping oil up on the filter and who knows what else. I used the stock intake tube and 90* elbow. I had to cut a piece of 1 3/4" radiator hose to go on the 90* so the 2" filter had something to clamp too. It was about 1" in length. The filter cost me 28 bucks at the local Yamaha Dealer.
Here is a side view of the filter. I still need to find a plug to go in the hole where the breather for the value cover used to connect to the stock 90*. I used a zip tie to hold the intake hose so it doesn't bounce around.
Ok. My little bro decided he wanted to jump this bank, Well he ended up breaking the engine mount. After I took the Back end off the buggy and started looking at what happened. It seems from the factory they didn't even weld the bracket on all the way. So I went ahead and built up the other mount. I recommend if you go trail riding on rough trails to inspect your welds on the back of these things every so often. I have noticed that the bracket on the read of the buggy that adjusts the chain tension is not starting to show some cracking
This is the aftermarket breather I installed that goes to the Value cover. It cost me 8 bucks at advanced. It looks pretty cool sitting up on top of the roll cage. I am thinking of putting a snokle on the air filter too. It gets pretty dusty down on the farm.
When my bro jumped the bank. The stock filter box took out the oil cooler. so i flipped it over and remounted it trying to get a couple more rides out of it before it total breaks and dies. I found an automatic transmission cooler at advanced for about 20 bucks that I am going to see if i can get to hook up to the factory hoses. Would this be too big. Would i need to add more oil to the motor? Fill the cooler before I hooked up the hoses?
Well that is all the images for now. Let me know if they are too big or it my post loads too slow.

I know where strawplains is through. Small world. So why is your radio show phone number not a 865 area code?
Ok. I my chain is slipping when I real get one it in reverse. I have tried tightening the chain with different weights on the buggy. People in the seat etc. and nothing seems to help. So i started looking at the back end and how I could possibly remount the shocks and make the rear end more solid. Is this possible on these swing arm type chassis.
I took a pic and going to try and draw up some sketches of what i might be able to do.
