Ok, new guy here. Sorry if this ends up being long, but maybe yall can give me some answers.

First off I am from the SW part of Arkansas so I seem to be in a dry zone for the minibuggy hype. I can't seem to find any dealers near me. I found a Joyner dealer (No Limit Powersports) in Arlington TX, but that is like 5 hrs. from me. Anyone heard of any dealers in Arkansas. I might be willing to drive to Dallas/Ft. Worth, maybe. Any in that area?

I havent looked much on here but it seems like Carterbros, Blade, Hammerhead, Kinroad, and Joyner are pretty popular. How about Dazon, Twister, SuperKart?

Has anyone heard of the Stingers with the Kohler engines, supposedly made in the US?

What about the Yamabuggy, seems like I read different opinions on who actually makes, imports, and distributes them.

I am 5'8 180lbs. Here is basically what I want.
Fast, since most of my riding will be on dirt roads. When i say fast I mean a solid 45mph although faster would be great, but I am not sure if I wanna pay for really fast. I might pay up too $5000.

Decent hill climbing ability, but that is not the most important thing as long as it is decent since dirt roads are my main areas to ride.

Will most of these buggies be small enough for a regular 4-wheeler trail?

I want a reliable buggy. I want parts to be easy to come by with out the hassle there seems to be with most chinese stuff.

I think that is about it. If i think of something esle I will ask. Thanks for yalls help.

Stay with the top brands on the forum here. buy from a dealer here. STAY AWAY from Stinger. terrible brakes, no front brakes. very dishonest company. kinroad, carter, dazon, joyner, hammerhead will do you good. superkart is a great buggy. but much more expensive.

I agree with Ben, stay with the top brands, twister and hammerhead are the same company. you should be able to get a 250cc-300cc for around 4300-4700.

and if there is a way to do it go to the closet dealer so you can see the buggy, sit in it and test drive it. when you find the one you want call the dealership and order some small part to see if they have it and how long it takes to get it.

Thanks for the input. I am having trouble finding a dealer anywhere near me so it is gonna be hard to actually see one in person.

I have a feeling these might suck since they look so cool but has anyone seen these: http://www.jclusa.com/MG-300.htm

It is looking like I will have to have one dropped shipped. Out of the brands yall mentioned which usually turn out best when shipped?

Also what sites do yall recommend ordering from? Is awesomebuggy.com a pretty good bet?

Does anyone know about the Phoenix 300?

Thanks

Don't be afraid to be a used buggy from someone on here. If the person has posted enough you can read their post and find out how they treated their buggy and how knowledgeable they are.

You can also order from a dealer with a good reputation. BigE, KidNMe, Glade, etc.. are all good guys.

Find one that you can go sit in even it's someone elses... They'll tell you all about the goods and bads of their buggy.

We buggy guys like to talk.
