Hey guys!!!
I just picked up a twister kart for my kids. I looks like it might of had a 90cc engine on it. The engine is MIA and so is the axle. Can anyone direct me where to get replacement parts. I'll add pics later

PS it came complete with a BuggyNews.com sticker.

I don't know how old it is. The guy I bought it from had it 2 days before the engine locked up. It looks like he hacked up the engine mounting pretty good. Here are some pics. I bought it for my daughters 6 and 8 years old. My 8 year old is almost too tall for it. I need some ideas on what type of engine to put back. I would like to get an original engine but I don't want to spend a whole lot because I think my girls will out grow it in a year or 2.
Here are the pics as promised.
PS i paid $100.00 for it.

those had a 49cc engine originally...you don't want to go back to original, not near enough power. I've had experience with them and they'll struggle to pull one kid on flat ground in grass.

Look at carters's mini, pretty much the same buggy with a 3.5hp mower/tiller style engine. You could go that route or get a Blade rear swing arm/engine assemble and retro fit it.

Thats the same as the Carter Mini Talon I have. The 3.5hp pushmower engine setup was a big disappointment. One wheel drive, no ground clearance, no way to adjust the chain and a top speed of about 8mph. When the rubber drive disk came apart, probably somewhere around 15 hours, I replaced the whole rear subframe with my own design. I used a 5hp engine I already had and a Comet torque converter. Now it will run about 25mph and it will haul me up the ramps into the back of my lifted fullsize Dodge truck.
