| < Engine Clinic - Mini Off Road Buggy ~ BMS 250 bogging down at half throttle |

I'm new to the buggy scene. I have a new BMS 250 that is bogging or cutting out if you don't ease the throttle or give it more that 1/2 throttle. I'm in Houston, Texas and was wondering if this thing isn't jetted properly for use at sea level?
Haven't found info on what the stock main jet is. Anybody dealt with this problem?

could be that the stock jet is not big enough, what does your spark plug look like?
on a new buggy some times the tanks are not the cleanest and lets a little junk get in the carb and plugs up the jets, then it won't get enough gas, might have to clean carb
check your coil wires were they plug on coil to make they are tight making good connection and the wires that plug into cdi.
also i think it is good to check over all wire connection in electrical box to make sure they are tight, just seem easier to catch those little problems before they happen, that alot of us have been through
good luck

I agree, check the connections at the coil, cdi, and spark plug. _________________ Blade buggies,Carter buggy's, ams (manco) , joyner, parts for almost anything

Thanks guys, I'll take a look this weekend and pull that plug. Was thinking of putting on a Unifilter to replace the stock airbox. I guess it might require a rejet to use that extra air. But i'll make sure it's not an electrical issue first. _________________ BMS 250 Powerbuggy
