Just got my BMS 1100 4 seater and was having overheating issues (boiling over and pissing coolant out the catch tank)
I replaced the stock rad cap (0.9 bar rating) with a Honda CBR600RR cap (1.1 bar rating) and this seems to have solved the boil over issue.
fans still kick in a little high and I will try and solve this with a different temp sender, but for now the cap seems to have helped tremendously.
If you are having the same issue, give this a try.

just bought an 800cc BMS cart. using it on the streets here in Arkansas. runs good, no cooling problems. I did have to (at my local car mechanic's suggestion) weld in a fuel return port in the top of the gas tank to allow the electric fuel pump to return any excess fuel to the tank instead of the factory routed fuel line. Before, if I ever rolled to a stop, it would die and take 3 to 5 minutes to restart. Now, the buggy seems to be running rich at an idle (fuel consumption went up and I can smell fuel like its flooded), and occasionally dies when I roll to a stop. Restarts quickly though. It has a 3 cyclinder, fuel injected "Geo Metro" motor with a 4 speed tranny. Looking for an answer to the excessive fuel consumption problem and a taller top gear. any suggestions?
glad to find this site!
