WOW
The ITPs are a 6 ply tire. What circumstances caused the tires to blow?

I can understand the stock tires blowing but not a 6-ply

First off, I have a Roketa 800cc and I mostly ride in the mountains of Kentucky. I bought a brand new set 26 x 10 x 12 ITP mudlights XL and they made it a whole 20 miles. I think the factory tires were just as good. I'm thinking about putting 26 x 12 x 12 trencher tires on it and wondering if this will work. Does anyone have any suggestions, because I also use it on a friend's motorcross track and am concerned about how that will affect it. Any suggestions? Thanks for your help.

Something doesn't seem right here... I'm running stock 19" fronts on my 150, (2-ply "FarEast" brand???!!) and I ride full throttle practically everywhere, and every trail I hit is COVERED in sharp large rocks and sticks, all up steep inclines in the "rocky" mountains.

Had one tire go flat in 2 years.
??

Part of that is luck, I know. But 6-ply tires should be.. well, 3 times stronger then my 2 ply stockers...no?

Need a little more info here. like what air pressure are you running these tires at that you keep blowing them. I've punched some holes in 6 ply tires on a quad but it was my fault for hitting what no tire will take a hit on. Ther has to be a reson for the tires blowing.

I run 10 to 12 psi 10 in the woods 12 on the motocross track. I think its the weight of the buggy that blows the tires , Max weight is 495 for a ITP mudlite XL

I had excellent results in the desert with Maxxis Bighorn radials.....Great tire....I would also look into the Goodyear ....They too seem like a decent tire....
Look at the new ITP tires for the SidexSides....They'll take the weight.....

Good luck....

2X on the Bighorns. Look at sideXside rally and race pictures & you'll find most teams running on Bighorns. They can take the abuse.
Remember a tire weight rating is for a static load. When cornering or bouncing off harsh terrain you need to multiply the static load at each corner by the G-forces it's seeing.

3x, Maxxis Bighorns are awesome tires. The rule of thumb is,
the harder the terrain the more rubber you want on it. Wink
