Actually purchased last Saturday. Sent it back to the dealer yesterday after we drove it down the block it started leaking gas from the tube under the carb. Also found the engine mount was touching the gas tank and the chain was touching the stump guard. That was causing a vibration to resonate through the tank. The motor has shifted forward slightly to the right (it sits on 4 bolts and slides forward/rearward to tighten the chain) causing both of those problems. And the lower rear arms were upside down, while not a MAJOR issue it would have made the outbound zerk fitting impossible to get to without taking apart the rear wheel/knuckle and shaft.
So all the info I have is from the brief ride I took. It rides smooth and sounds real nice. Brakes were a little soft you cant lock em up not sure if it is just because it is new. Of course the oft mentioned it's BIG! Which is nice to be able to stretch out. One thing I gotta remember is the rear wheels are just as wide as the front as opposed to the smaller 150cc. I am used to just turning right after the front wheels clear an obstacle and on this buggy you need to remember to clear the rear wheels too during a turn. I will do a better review after I get it back.
I like the blue. _________________ Blade buggies,Carter buggy's, ams (manco) , joyner, parts for almost anything

I will check with you on the tires it would be neat to see if I could get it street legal. Going to look into it after it gets back.
Going to test it around this area and if the width doesnt make too big of a difference then I may get a Blade XTX for a second buggy. If it seems a little big then I may go for the Hammerhead 250SS. _________________ Carter GTR 250

The gas from the carb is the biggest issue. The rest is from it not being assembled correctly or checked over after assembly. I checked all the service bulletins and went over the instructions and found all the stuff that was wrong. So far. _________________ Carter GTR 250

Congratulations on your new GTR.
I gues GTR's are finally kicking off... I see more and more of them here.
I posted something about your carb problem under your 'comparison post'. I think I know exactly what that problem is
