Well I finally went out and bought a GTR 250 Saturday and due to a birthday party and other work got around to driving it Sunday. Only made a couple drives around the block and had to stop. The line coming out of the bottom of the carb started leaking fuel. What exactly is that for and caused by?
I am going to get it to the dealer ASAP since it was literally hours old and driven about 10 minutes and less than a mile. I also noticed the bottom rear arms were mounted upside down so that the grease fittings are pointed up so I cannot get to the fitting nearest the tire due to the shaft. It is also hard to get into gear, so I bet the adjustments are off.
And the chain is WAY tight. I mean NO play in it. I think you move the motor forward to tighten the chain and the motor is ALL the way forward almost ( maybe is) touching the gas tank! SO I have to get the motor moved rearward correct? Those bolts look like a pain in the butt to get to. Oh and the bottom of the chain touches the stump guard.
So overall I am displeased with the assembly of this buggy at my local shop and I will have to see what service I get. I am tryin to get them to come get it since it was dropped off this way. Plus my truck n trailer is out of town at the moment. _________________ Carter GTR 250
