Ok, I'm stumped here. I hope someone can help me out because this thing is driving me crazy. My buggy will not start... I turn the key and nothing.
A couple of weeks ago my buggy wouldn't turn over all of the sudden. The solenoid would just make this buzzing noise. I just assumed that it was bad so I bought a new one and put it in... same thing happened. Then I went to check the battery and it's close to dead, so we jump started it and it runs fine. Then I put the battery on the charger and try to charge it and the charger said one of the cells were bad. I just bought this battery a couple of months ago and all of the levels are up. So, ok, maybe it's a bad battery, so i tried jump starting it again and it won't do anything, but the funny thing is I can jump start the buggy by touching the positive cable to the starter side post of the solenoid.
I'm going to go ahead and replace the battery, but It seems like there it something else wrong... like maybe what ever it is that triggers the solenoid to work is broken. I've checked the starter, solenoid, fuses, battery, and all of the connections. Even the key ignition. What else could it be? Could jump starting it have burned out a component that triggers the solenoid? I hope this made sense and I hope someone can help me figure this out.
Thank You

i have heard the other guys that run these type of buggys say that the brake switch could cause this, either not pushing brake down far enough or its bad.that sounds like whats happening to you. by going to from battery straight to starter you are by passing solenoid and brake switch.
here is a wiring diagram that i think will help you,its for the crossfire 150. maybe this will get you started trouble shooting, also maybe there will be a doctor on call soon for this type of buggy.
pud

Hey, Thanks for the diagram. Although I don't have a brake switch on my particular buggy this diagram helps a lot.
I got my battery replaced today. Advanced Auto put it on the tester and it said "Replace Battery". Then the guy was questioning me about how I charged it originally and blah blah.. You know, one of those aholes that has to get the last word in and always has to be right. What ever, man, just give me a new battery free of charge. : ) _________________ Baja Reaction 150 ~ Uni Filter ~ 128 Jet ~ NGK Iridium Plug
