OK, I wanted a cheap buggy I could play around at the farm with so I bought a used Roketa KTR-150 for $600. It has some issues, but it runs great.. when I give it gas it take a second for it to go, is tht normal?? when I put the buggy in reverse it seems stronger than in forward, do I need a new clutch?? I don't really care about going 35+mph I would like more low end power. plus I have a small oil leak near the bottom of the piston area.. thanks for any help..

when you say it takes a second to go...does that mean the engine rev's then it takes off, (could be clutch) or it does't take fuel and the engine hesitates?

Reverse will be stronger because it's geared lower.

Lighter rollers in the variator and a yellow 1500 spring behind the clutch is a cheap and easy way to get more low in power, by changing the way the cvt shifts.

on the oil leak is it coming from between the cylinder and the case?

yes, the engine revs for a second and then goes.. what cvt setup would you recommend.. 9 or 10 rollers . what style clutch should I use, stock or the ones with stronger springs?? thanks for the help.. if im going to replace the gaskets shouldn't I just go ahead and replace the piston and rings??

9 or 10's either one will work, the lighter the roller the higher the rpm's and less top end speed. some people love 9's, others hate'm. Personal preference.

the clutch depends on how much you want to spend. There's stock, modified stock and aftermarket like the prodigy and Hit clutches.
as far as the piston and rings, totally up to you.

Thanks for the help.. Im going to use the 10gram roller and a new clutch and belt.. Do you know what the compression should be on these motors?? if it way down I'll replace piston and rings for now.. I was going to gut the ex. pipe aswell, should I put a larger main jet (125) with uni filter in if I do that?

I would go with the yellow main spring, and if you ar not going to do the air intake then a 125 should get you in the ball aprk

I'm guessing 128-135. You'll need to get a couple jets and plugs, then run it wide open and check your plug.
