It's currently geared 16 / 32 but with 21" tires. After I upgrade that machine with taller 22" tires, I would like to adjust the drive / axle ratio to a 16 / 37 or 16 / 39. My preference would be for a 37 tooth actually, which is probably asking too much as I do not think they are very easy to find.
There is a double 37t sprocket that you could run a single 530 chain, but I think you will happy with the lower gearing of the 39t.
I believe BigE also sells the 37t dual sprocket. _________________ 08 Joyner SandViper 250

tractor supply were some of you guys have gotten your buggys
has type A #50 plate sprockets that will work to but you have to have center bored out and drilled to fit your bolt pattern.
if memory serves me wright i have seen 36t and 38t sprockets there.its been a while since i changed out sprockets and i'm glad i went with the 39t that bolted wright up, made a big difference in my buggy.plus it was cheaper to go this way.
i had gotten mine before i became a member here and found mine at reliable go carts.
i think a sprocket change is one of the best mods i done.
wait a minute all the mods i have done has been great

trying a set of 10gram rollers now
You'll like the 39tooth sprocket. It made a huge difference in the trailing capability of my old gx150 and the only place I lost any top speed was going down hill _________________ DRIVE IT LIKE YOU STOLE IT!!!!!!!!!

I agree, lost a little speed on flats and downhill, but I think my trail speed actually increased with the bigger sprocket, since I can power out of trouble spots over stumps and rocks easily now.
The only mod I have so far is the new sprocket. What would somebody suggest for better take-off? When I hit the gas, I can count to 3 or 4 before it starts to wind up. it takes the engine a bit to realize I want it to move... new plug? coil? intake/exhaust? Or will lighter rollers help this? The engagement RPM of the stock clutch seems fine, just the engine reponse seems really slow.
lighter rollers and stiffer clutch springs along with a yellow main spring will help take off. mainly the rollers and clutch springs. the main spring will help keep more tension on the belt and make the driven pulley react quicker _________________ Blade buggies,Carter buggy's, ams (manco) , joyner, parts for almost anything

Tell them you want to order a 39T sprocket for a 150cc buggy by phone. They are virtually a universal fit for most of the 150cc buggies. Mine is a 150cc Roketa. It fit spot on - no problema. I will post the price tomorrow. I need to find my receipt. They were the cheapest anywhere around, reputable and fast delivery.
Frankly, just call them and ask what the price is. You will not be dissapointed. _________________ '07 Roketa 150cc
