Is a Hammerhead 150 officially classed as a go kart? I think so. I have been turned away from Crow's Canyon because their insurance does not allow "go karts". :<
i would say yes but maybe they classify our buggys a buggys or mini rail's _________________ 06 joyner 250 sand viper, red metallic....royal purple oil blue clutch spring 17 gram sliders and upgraded clutch

Second Annual SOCAL Buggy BASH At OCOTILLO Wells NOV. 21-24 Details Here:http://www.buggynews.com/topic14442-90.html
When we went to the Buggy Bash at St. Joe, the park there classified our rides as "ATV" - it was that or dune buggy. If we were classified as a true dune buggy we wouldn't have been able to ride on the trails.
Guess it depends on where you are. _________________ Twister Hammer Head 250 - 2006

I'd like to go with the flow :> - problem is that the flow is going in the ATV direction around here.... State parks with 50" width limits and ATV parks who's insurance carriers don't allow karts. Too bad I don't live in southwest OH, close to WV and KY, where the rules aren't so rigid. My 6 acres is getting kinda boring!
Where do you live Bob? Maybe it's time you start approaching the local politicians and convincing them that the buggies are safer than atv's but require a slightly wider trail. I mean your only talking about an increase of a foot or so to allow a safer vehichle on the trail.
You know those politicians love to support legislation that has a low cost and that will get a new group of voters to support them.
Just the other day legislation was passed in TN that allows electric cars that run 30-35 mph on roads with a 45 mph speed limit. This was done by the efforts of one man talking to a local politician. See the post under General BS. Follow the link to the bill. THis could serve as a model of new legislation. _________________ JEHM 150, Joyner 250, Roketa 800
